History

GCTMC Inc has a 37 year history of organising Rally Events, many in the northern regions of NSW. The Border Ranges Rally was first conducted in the region during 2006 and was the training event in the lead up to the Australian round of the 2009 World Rally Championship.

Traditionally the event has been conducted on roads around Woodenbong and Urbenville. For the past few years it has been a round of the Queensland Rally Championship and lat year a round of the NSW Rally Championship. That event was a three day rally but this year’s event is a Club Rally and is not part of any series or championship. So there is the opportunity for competitors to have some fun with out the pressure of getting points.

The GCTMC Inc would like to thank all those supporters in and around Woodenbong and Urbenville who have helped to make this event happen. Car Club members from all over the country appreciate being given the opportunity to compete in the sport of Rallying on your backdoor, so to speak.

Thanks also go to the Kyogle Council, RFS, SES, Progress associations, and all supporters. We look forward to a long and successful association.

The Executive, Gold Coast Tweed Motorsporting Club Inc.
